Newb here......

I have an '09 G8 GT with Premium and Sport packages, with 1300 miles on the odometer. From day 1, it has had the dreaded vibrations, both in the steering wheel and in the body.

Vibe in steering wheel fixed with simple rebalance.

Vibe in body still there after 3 trips to dealer, with the latest being performing PIC4989 today, in both directions (120 degrees each way). They admitted on the phone before I even tried to pick it up that the vibe is still there. They called GM Engineering, and were told GM knows about it, and is engineering a fix. GM has no idea what it will be, nor how long before they will know what it is.

What do I do now? Just wait indefinitely? Do I have any recourse at all? I LOVE the car, but it is VERY annoying on the highway.

I think I am cursed with this car....when I bought it and went outside to drive it home off the lot, they said they needed to keep it overnight. Why? Gas leaking out of the tank. Turns out it needed an entire new gas tank. Now this.......ugh.

I am having the same issues with my G8 gt, except the steering wheel vibe comes and goes on a daily basis. But there is always some form of vibe above 85kms WTF.

the steering wheel shake is the tires-road force balance them it goes away, plus the stock tires suck.

If you continue to drive it, baby it, or not. As at least when mine finally went, it got fixed. Course there is no telling how long this fix will last, lol.

I thought it was my imagination ! I was told it was something to do with the TC Lockup or the AFM which neither make sense.

Mine hasn't had any vibration at all since day one. Other then when the tires are cold for the first mile or so but thats cause they're performance tires. I can honestly say I don't know what vibration on the highway you guys keep talking about as mine rides like a dream.

I took mine in to the dealer on Wednesday for the driveline vibration. They called me today and said they couldn't verify it, i mentioned the service bulletin and they said they never heard of it. What a waste of time, Maxwell Pontiac in Round Rock Tx sucks.
