We're organizing a GTG in November at Kooks in Statesville, NC. At this point the exact date has not been set, but we'll post more details when they are available.

Would like to make this and hope we can. Would be really cool if they had the shop open and were doing mods during the GTG. Other clubs I've been involved with we had "modding" GTG's all the time. Do you know if they have a dyno there? I'm guessing they do, would be a good chance for folks to maybe get their first dyno run or something.

I've sent some PMs and emails to George R. but haven't had any responses.

Do you guys want to go ahead and plan a GTG incase this doesn't happen?

I know we met in Concord in September and some have been back there for a run down the Zmax drag strip, but I received notification from Lowe's Motor Speedway that on the day after Thanksgiving for a minimum $25 donation to one of NASCAR's childrens charities you can drive on Lowe's Motor Speedway. I don't know how many laps can be run. This is not the only thing going on at the speedway...all of the souvenir trailers from the NASCAR circuit will also be there for end of year blow out sales, and with Concord Mills mall a hop, skip, and a jump away, I cannot not honestly say how congested the area will be.

Avalanche folks did this last year and said it was a lot of fun. I couldn't be there due to family stuff, but they said you could pay an extra $10 or something and have your vehicle and picture taken in the winners circle. I believe it was something like 3-5 laps around the track and even though you have a pace car in front of everybody they still said some of them got well over 100 for a few stretches.

Here's what Ktlplxm wrote on the other board's thread.

"I was with George last week and asked him about it. He said he still wants to do something along those lines, but it will be more of a giant open house for the new facility. right now nothing is set in stone. This is the wrong time of year for making these types of plans with SEMA and PRI going on. I'll see him again when he gets back from SEMA and when he says something I'll let ya know"

So it looks like it's not happening.

Guys as much as I want to make this happen for the G-8 community it is a very bad time of the year right now. We are back from sema but we are now prepping for PRI our biggest show of the year. So we are overwhelmed with right now. I really want to have you guys up to the shop so we can show you our manufacturing process. So if we can wait till the show season is over that would be much better for us.Thanks

There's always Spring to look forward to. Would love to see your facility and get the grand tour and meet you guys. Sorry I didn't meet up with you at SEMA. It was my first one and I was a little overwhelmed by the size of the show.
