: (Interior) Ya caught me...
DevilYellow 02-05-2007, 08:42 PM Ok, so I was on a competing board to this one. They showed some of the same screen caps we have posted with their watermark on them - no biggie.
Well then I get to "the interior shot" and I was highly disturbed. It showed almost nothing in common with a Holden interior. This could mean many things - but mostly I find comfort in the quality of the Holden interiors. Nothing sexy or perfect - but much better than what we could end up with.
I just started noticing placement of the gauges, the key, the shifter, the steering wheel itself and finally put two and two together - its a torrent GXP interior with a nav unit!

I just want to make sure there are no crazy rumors about the interior of this bad boy :)
McCarron 02-05-2007, 08:53 PM Thank god that isn't the G8 interior... we'll have to wait and see soon I guess.
sccaGTO 02-05-2007, 08:59 PM Don't feel bad Jon. That competing site picked them from GMInsideNews.com
GT086 02-05-2007, 11:50 PM Come on, tell, what site?
nsofokles 02-05-2007, 11:55 PM DY will not give up his sources...i hope the G8 gets Navi...and i REALLY want a sunroof!

I know where. But it really doesn't make a difference.

I already found out.
AlphaEden 02-06-2007, 12:22 AM you wanna cookie?
GT086 02-06-2007, 12:23 AM you wanna cookie?
That would be nice.
UltraMagnus 02-06-2007, 08:23 AM DY will not give up his sources...i hope the G8 gets Navi...and i REALLY want a sunroof!
Yes definitely a Sunroof. I think that was something GM definitely missed with the GTO. Navi would be nice too!
The Stig 02-06-2007, 08:39 AM Thats definately not the G8's interior- it looks just like the one from the Torrent. When I first saw the pic I thought "oh this cant be right."
Luckily I was right. :D
PMD G8 02-06-2007, 08:53 AM I'm guessing that it will have bluetooth and an Aux-In outlet.
The Stig 02-06-2007, 09:40 AM I'm thinking the only thing that might not make it are the seat heaters, only because they arent available on the Holden.
Although I would imagine that installing seat heaters would be relativel easy thing to implement- just redesign the seats.
Unfortunately seat heaters are one of those innane options that I have really come to appreciate. My Subaru comes with 4 level adjustable seat heaters and lemme tell you, jumping in a cold car, they are very nice to have.
99grandprixGT 02-06-2007, 10:11 AM ya lets hope the interior looks good and has some good options. heated seats are a must for me now, since its been 0* and lower this week lol.

I doubt that you would have to redesign the seats. There are several people that own GTO's who have installed heated seats on their cars and claim it was a relatively easy install.
GTPprix 02-06-2007, 01:56 PM Historically in late model GM vehicles the heater is just a pad sewn into the seat cover so adding that would be cake. :)
TriShield 02-06-2007, 09:19 PM Road & Track and Car & Driver have exposed the car already, including the interior.

How about the seat heaters/coolers in other brands(I believe BMW, but not sure)? The ones that use air. Anyone know what I'm talking about?

The coolers would require alot of work. Fans, perforated holes in the seats on the front and back and generally hacking the entire thing up.

+1. Also they're an extremely expensive option on those cars.

Interior looks kinda strange.
The Stig 02-07-2007, 12:25 PM Interior looks kinda strange.
In what way?
Konnie the Goat 02-07-2007, 01:19 PM The black and tan looks good, but i wanna see the other options. Also, what moron would confuse a torrent interior for one on a new car? they arent even close. Even the arrowhead is different
GT086 02-08-2007, 12:52 AM In what way?
+1. It looks awesome to me and I love the those colors.
flashpoint 02-08-2007, 10:04 AM Not digging the tan dash plastics... The seats I could live with though...

I think if its tan and its on the dash, its stitched leather.
Not sure though.
VY2SS 02-08-2007, 01:25 PM The interior colour of the show car has got a lot of people excited here, as that colour is not available they are hoping Holden pulls its finger out and makes it available..
dbluegoat 02-08-2007, 07:09 PM I'm not big on the tan, the leather though would be nice
pinski 02-08-2007, 08:02 PM Not digging the tan and black combo so much, all black would suit me just fine :)

No, the interior is as close to a perfect match as you can get. I did notice that you had part SS-V and Calais V noticing both the big screen and the red display just below the dash top. Apart from that its pretty much identical so you can rest assured that it will be as I have a SS-V.

Yes it will have standard Bluetooth and an Aux in as is standard on the SS-V/ SV6
6spdG8 07-09-2007, 10:14 PM I don't mind the colors, but would prefer a black/grey, red/black, red/blue, and maybe another purple interior option.
The coolers would require alot of work. Fans, perforated holes in the seats on the front and back and generally hacking the entire thing up.
But, they are the best thing since sliced bread. I love those! No swamp ass, and you barely have to run the AC....
Smoke 11-06-2007, 08:23 AM you wanna cookie?
That would be nice.
I want a cookie. Chocolate Chip PLEASE!!
Richard Strebendt 11-10-2007, 11:44 AM That interior looks like it was made from scraps from two different cars, a gray/black one and a beige/tan colored one. Only one word is needed to describe this color combination: UGLY! I hope that more harmonious color combinations are offered when the car finally reaches the market.

Heated seats are standard with the leather.
SRG963 02-12-2008, 12:04 PM How about the seat heaters/coolers in other brands(I believe BMW, but not sure)? The ones that use air. Anyone know what I'm talking about?
Someone correct me if I'm wrong, but I believe the seat heaters are different when they are combined with the cooled seat option. I have both on my DTS, love the cool in the summer and the heat in the winter. Just wish they would turn on with remote start. My seats blow hot or cold air threw the seat and they are much more to repair when they break or go out. $350 for one seat warmer repair, compared to $80 on the older style pad seat heaters. Thank you GM
PS Seat Heater went out around 52000 miles, and is still broke:)
BBBBGXP 02-13-2008, 12:41 AM Heat only seats are electric. I have them on by Bonne GXP and wife has them on her Equinox. They are however different. The ones on the GXP heat the seat cushion and then up the lower back to about midway up the seat back. The Equinox just heats the seat cushion, nothing in the back.:boink:
