: Rough idle anyone?

Is anyone else out there having issues with their GT having a slightly rough idle? I picked mine up about 2 weeks ago and didn't have any problems initially, but after I hit about 200 miles, I've noticed it almost puttering when in drive and at idle.

Just curious if anyone has taken their GT back to the dealer to try and diagnose the problem. Any luck?

Its a V8 idling at 560rpm... its bound to idle a lil rough. I guess the tune bumps the idle up 50rpm and gets rid of that. My car has it. I notice it, passengers do not.

As mentioned above, this is common. Especially in Gen 3 and Gen 4 GM V8s. At least all of them that I have ever driven/ridden in.

I did notice it also and what h3llphyre say sounds correct to me. Maybe the dealers mechanics can tune it up a little more

I've gotten it only once just after starting and putting it into reverse to back out of my driveway. Does anyone know what the issue is?

I thought this was a feature of the V8. I like the rough idle.

Everyone gets the shimmy when idling, it's fine, don't worry about it.

I have almost 19k miles and still have the little shakey shakes - but I've gotten used to it. Its obviously normal, as everyone has reported having it. It grew on me (over a year ago when this post was first made) and I actually like it now.

It seems to be worse when the outside temperature is lower. When the outside temperature is above 80, it seems to go away in my car. It is normal and nothing to be concerned about.
