You're not alone in liking the stock wheels... I'm in the market or just looking for some afetrmarket wheels I 've got it narowed down to 3 rims... But the stock look I don't have a problem with...

Agreed i like the stock 5 spoke wheels,found a pair on tire rack also 5 spoke but black highlite inbetween spokes.

The early V6 models came with a two piece cover. They are still available from your GM dealer.

I'm here. 2+ years and still loving it. Just did a trip from the west coast out to Fort Worth, Tx and back. Still a comfortable ride. No mods other than tint and debadge.

I too am another one who likes the V6 rims. I even asked the dealer when I was looking at a Gt if they would swap rims for me. I don't mind the 18's. Maybe because I can remember when 14 and 15's were stock back in the day. ;) Running 255's on them now though.

Biggest mod so far was getting the red seat inserts put in to go with the red wheel and shifter and embroidery on the arm and headrests, sport pedals and "cubby plaque". Dressed up the engine a little, Plasti-dipped the upper grills and added a red "GTI" stripe, painted the lower grills around the fogs, added the GXP diffuser and Plasti-dipped chrome trim over the license plate on the read and a bunch of other small stuff. In general going for the white, red, black color theme.

Not a transplant A huge Cowboys fan been to Dallas twice in the last 3 yrs going again this year... Hookem Horns sign is one that Roy Williams displays when he scores not that he scores often (sigh) but he tries to keep it Real to show his Love for Univerity of Texas...

The 1st yr I went with some buddies from work it was the last yr the Cowboys played at the Stadium in Irving... Then I went back the following yr which was the 1st yr in the new Stadium in Arlington... That was great I went with my wife she liked it... This past year I didn't go cause I bought the G8 and a car to drive in the winter... But this fall were going again and this time were taking my son with us...

A local dealership has an mgm premium leather car, they've had it on the used car lot for close to a year.

Another V6 owner joining the pack...looks like I'm not far away from two or three of you. Also a fan of the stock wheels, actually I prefer them over the other options myself. No mods, yet, it's still under warranty so I don't to void the hell out of it...yet...

My G8 was on the dealer lot for probably 8-9 months before I bought it (build was March 2008 and I got it end of April 2009). GM Canada did almost ZERO advertising of the car. I'm sure THAT was good for sales...

When I bought in March 2009 (the best time of the entire G8 history to purchase, from what I've learned!) my GT was at a dealership about 150 miles away and had been sitting on the lot (except for test drives, I'm sure) for over 1 year... dealership told me it was delivered in Feb 2008 (2009.1 model year, not 2009.5) and as such, I got an extra $1000 bonus for moving "old dealer stock". To say I bought my stripper model at a great value is an understatement... no leather, no roof, no sport, but I wound up picking up the car for $20k out the door, minus 5k for my 80k trade in car, and a $5k down payment, and I only had to come up with a 10k loan. MORE MOD MONEY! :wink2:

If I remember correctly, and with the above in mind, the used "previous-rental-car" V6 that I saw at the dealership had leather seats but otherwise was identical interior to my car (upfit radio, leather steering wheel, etc) and I think they have it listed (with 100k powertrain AND 100k maintenance package and extended warrantee too, I'm sure that's part of this pricetag) for $24k list price. No bites though, after around a year on the lot. But they don't advertise it either... it's never been out front on a weekend, so there's other issues.

GM North America didn't do any advertising either from what I remember. Pennzoil Oil company had more airtime for their g8 ad than GM did. After Pontiac was all gone was only after I found the "G8 IS CAR", "Dennis Leary FACTS" and "Spyhunter" commercials, each available on youtube, through posts on THIS FORUM.

Well done, old GM. Or not. :(
