Is Anyone thinking of powdercoating their G8 Rims???:turbonaughtdy_1:

i am, i want to powdercoat them black, or get some new wheels when my tires wear out. but i think the stock 19s would look pretty good in black :)

i been planning on getting my stock 18's powder coated black when my car comes in and buying some nice rims when its mostly paid off and i have my intake exhaust. id looove to see pictures of some stock 18's or 19's powder coated though

yup i wanna see a white on white G8 as im planning to do

sorry to bump this old thread. just wondering if anybody has done it yet. i like the stock 18's i have and was thinking of having them done gunmetal or black. i may have to take a profile pic of the car and PS it to see what it would look like.

I'm considering either shadow chrome or a dark metallic gray. Been meaning to drop by the local powder shop one of these weekends but have been too busy.

White on white would look great, but way too much maintenance for my lazy butt.

Depending on the color I wanted I was quoted a range of $100 - $140 per wheel. The shadow chrome was anywhere between $125 and $140.

You are probably right. This is IE and not the new one. I have firefox at home. Now that I look, your signature picture does not even come up, but others do. Thanks though.

Hmm, I like that look, they look less like they're painted and more like they've been black anodized.... I wonder what that would cost?

Powder coaters have candy colors so ask around and they should be able to help you out with finding the correct colors.

I am going to my coaters today to pickup some bike parts. :) I'll ask what they have for black candy.
