Does anyone have pics of their G8 engine bay? with the radiator cowling removed? Russo performance are currently adapting this intake (http://farm3.static.flickr.com/2032/2093346010_2cbbc6db19.jpg) for MAF based applications (not selling as yet) but we need to check the room is much the same as regular commodores. If anyone is interested in helping out Russo Performance develop this new product please send me a PM. We need some unerbonnet pics showing clearance. We will get you a good discount on the product and send it to you for a trial fit.

I have pics of my engine bay if you look around.

Wouldn't it be easier to recruit someone with a car to get measuremeants VS. trying to guestimate off a photograph with no scaling whatsoever?? :dunno:

I do have some pics of G8 engine bays from this site but they look 100% the same as commodores really. What i am after is a shot of the area in between the front bar and radiator. I believe there may be a slightly different cooler positioning - need to confirm.
As soon as we can see that we will send a prototype to someone for a trial fit. So if there is someone who is willing to get involved, the FIRST step is to remove the factory intake (in between TB and airbox) and take a few top down snaps of the area described above.

I can do that tomorrow during the day, if you'd like.

George I got your pics, thanks so very much for that. I will talk to the guys and get back to you. FWIW the intake was used on Wednesday night to run the quickest VE V8 yet - 11.74@117mph! I will be in touch.

Just a little update on the devlopement of this CAI.
We took my wifes otherwise STOCK Holden Caprice (L98) out to the track a few weeks back. Running an A6 and factory street tyres we managed a 12.92@108mph. The only mods were Russo CAI and matching tune. We also were running the space saver fronts (radials). Next time out we'll do it with stocker fronts. For those of you who dont know, the caprice is basically a LWB commodore, about 100kg or so more in weight.
Here is a little video

PS The noises you can here are of the rotary and the commodore (in the other lane) - the caprice is quiet as a mouse!
