Hey, I was in Murray's Discount Auto in Chicago. Yesterday dropping off my original oil.
When I went int the oil asle afterwards I saw that Roayl Purple was 5.37 a quart.
If I'm not mistaken thats about 50 cents more than Mobil 1. So its a steal. I'm pretty pissed off about it because I just brought Amsoil 2 weeks ago.
Oh and the K/N oil filter is about 10.97 too
So I guess thats a chance to get some high end oil for a little cheaper price.

As for oil, there is a lot of information on synthetics and what constitutes a full synthetic. Mobil 1 is no longer one (hasnt been for a couple years now tho they still charge as if it were!). A good cheap true full synthetic is German blend Castrol. Imported from Germany, sold at a few autostores such as Autozone, make sure to read the label.

Not sure it matters what you put in. I've never heard of anyone blowing up an engine because it had 'dino' oil in it. My friend's family had a Plymouth with a 318ci that they put 500,000 miles on, and it ran fine on dino oil, no problems.

FYI: There are only a few companies that make TRUE synthetic oils. Royal Purple, Redline and Amsoil are the biggies. Mobil and all the other main streams are NOT TRUE synthetics but are a VERY pure dino with synthetic stabilizers and additives added.
