I test drove a G8 yesterday and now I'm really thinking about buying one. I really liked the way it handled.

I have a 07 Charger R/T the runs 13.65 @ 102.31 with a 60' time of 1.974. Just a CAI and T-stat.
I haven't seen a G8 at the track yet so, I was wondering what kind of times you guys are running? (stock)

Any problems with the G8?

If you search there are quite a few threads of track #'s. I stock G8 will beat a stock R/T the magazines have already shown that.

I don't believe everything I read in magazines cuz, it's all about who pays the most $$$$.
It's the same with motorcycle magazines...

I did and there's not much differance in times but, I like the car and I'm sure there will be loads of after market parts very soon...

With the G8 you can get the transmission tuned though. I hear the Dodge guys are holding back on help for modding the R/T trans.

And you heard right...The Dodge guys suck.

I know this..My daughter has a 07 Cobalt SS/SC with a little over 3K in mods running high 12s. Most of the mods are GM performance parts.

Dodge have almost nothing for the LXs..

Id say sell/trade the charger for the G8...

1. G8 handles better
2. more power
3. better gas mileage
4. A LOT more potential (aftermarket support)
5. AND best of all its not a SLO-PAR!!! (sorry had to say that)

The only problems reported were fixed at the dealer easily so far. Sunroof seems to be a problem with vibration on some G8's.
