I have a G8 with the V6. Last week I made a couple of hard turns to have some fun with the car. The car performaed great. But after the turn on a straight road my steering wheel was shaking left to right (not imbalalce). It went away after a little while. Still cant figure out why? Can the Power steering set any kind of hystersis?

I have a G8 with the V6. Last week I made a couple of hard turns to have some fun with the car. The car performaed great. But after the turn on a straight road my steering wheel was shaking left to right (not imbalalce). It went away after a little while. Still cant figure out why? Can the Power steering set any kind of hystersis?

I took a couple hard turns and had to have my power steering pump replaced. Hope it's nothing serious with your car.

What was your issue? Did they say why they replaced the Pump?

I noticed a shake in the wheel just prior to having all four LCAs replaced. Have the dealer inspect your front end.

my g8 does the same thing...i took it in and they stated they did not find anything wrong with it....they said i needed to balance my tires but i dont think its that...am going to change my tires because they are all ready wearing out really bad....but after i change them am taking it back if it keeps doing it.

Its not unbalance and has gone away. I jsut think something happened in the Power sterrting pump that set a resonance.
