: Borla Headers ???
haddadmotorsports 05-07-2008, 02:34 PM Hey guys the car is over at Borla right now getting the cat back done on it.
I'm trying to push them to develop long tube headers for our cars.
Please let me know whether it sounds like a mod that would interest you guys.
Please keep in mind Borla is responsible for the cleanest c5-c6 header system i have ever seen. "LG Pro Long Tubes"
So we know they make good stuff.
Thanks
Mike Haddad
G8 Ray 05-07-2008, 02:38 PM I'm going to be interested in ONE of the header designs. This makes what, the 4th set possibly??

G8 Ray 05-07-2008, 02:42 PM I'm sorry my post wasn't clear. JB headers, Doug Thorley, ARH, etc..

h3llphyre 05-07-2008, 03:10 PM All depends. If Borla can manage to come up with a set of long-tube headers that don't cost a million dollars, come ceramic coated (useless otherwise, in my opinion), and maybe work out a "package" with their catback, I'll be all about it. Borla has only come out with high quality products from what I've seen, so they have my dollars and cents, as long as they are within a range that I have set in my head.
GeorgeInNePa 05-07-2008, 03:38 PM It depends on price and if they will work with my Magnaflow exhaust that will be here next week...
I voted slightly interested.

If they do it they will probably be full stainless. Which is virtually twice as good as a coated steel.
They will probably be a lil more money than the rest. But you would be getting the best.
Compatibility should not be an issue.
We'll see if they even do it.
Thanks

I'm more concerned with clearance issues with wires and other systems. Ceramic coating tends to help a little bit in the "oh crap, my XXXX wire metled to the header" department. I suppose I can always have them coated afterwards. No big deal.
Keep us updated. I'm certainly interested. Seems with simple bolt-ons, staying N/A, this car has a LOT more potential.
_G8GT_ 05-07-2008, 06:04 PM Is there an est price?
tzoid9 05-07-2008, 10:08 PM I know you're asking about long tube headers, but I'm interested in how the Borla Cat Back system sounds and performs, after you get the car back. How about a report, then?

No problemo. We are doing our best to put together the best possible combos of parts for you guys. You can go ahead and assume that anything that goes on that car will be thoroughly floggged and reported on.
Thanks

LS2GTO 05-08-2008, 09:51 AM I'm slightly interested if the long tubes will be especially made for the GXP G8. I presume it will fit both the LS3 and L76 or whatever they call the 6.0L.

If the "LG Pro Long Tubes" built for LG Motorsports are any indicator you are looking at a ballpark of $1,500.00.
