I was browsing ebay for a used G8 and came across this one. Pretty sweet looking, but some stuff is just way too much.

the only G8 at SEMA this year... I checked it out and didnt care for the clear hood or the side pipes

I like the side exit exhaust and the Courtney Hansen upgrades but not the trailer hitch.

Looks fine on a ZR1 but completely clashes with the lines & :quoties: vents already on the G8

I like everything but the see thru hood, dont like the side crap, seriously that hood looks ugly !
But the eye candy next to it looks good.

I hate the hood and the gaps in the rear facia where the stock exhaust exits.

Might be a collectable as it was a show car. But one will have to keep this in pristine shape for 10 or more years.

Not crazy about the see thru hood and I prefer side exhaust before the rear wheels. Something like this.

$30k in Upgrades? Where? I would have saved the money spent on the stupid hood window, and fabricated a custom rear pan to close the exhaust cut outs. Of course, that does match the blank Atari gauge pod (something should be there, but isn't!) And for god's sake, lose the trailer hitch!
With the exception of the seat fabric, it looks like the interior was untouched. $30k in upgrades? Again, I ask, where?

The Boston Acoutic set up is very nice. Don't think the car is SEMA worhty though.

dont like the exhaust ...this is a car not a truck with dual rear side exits...the hood ..i may like IF the supercharger was polished...and even that i would just have to see in person to see if id like it

It was actually outside at SEMA. It was right in front of North Hall. The clear look seems to cheapen it.

Exactly! Very poorly done. This car looks very amateur IMO. The only thing nice is the wheels. I don't like the custom seats either. And no tinted windows? Really......?

Some of these appearance mods would have been better suited to a car w/ a different color, because (and no offense to anyone who has a red G8) I feel like this shade of red on the G8 is a little much to begin with, the angles and lines of the car are aggressive enough, the color doesn't have to be as well.

Don't like the side exit exhausts, especially given the shape of the rear bumper diffuser in stock form.

Don't like the pinstripes.

Hood window for the SC is gay, A) if you're going to install that make sure there is some eye candy there like a polished or powder coated maggie and B) maybe they should have thought twice about it also when they realized the SC/intake aren't in-line with the middle of the rest of the car, it sits left.

The only thing I like on this car is the sound system, rims, and of course the fact that it is SC'd to begin with.

I'm more of a plain guy to begin with, I'm not a fan of putting money into mods that border on ridiculousness whenever the car is anything but showroom clean and those exhaust exits and SC window are perfect examples

I don't think it is all bad. You can see with the side exhaust that it is supposed to be like a jet boat exhaust. The wood to go with the boat theme and the trailor hitch to go with the boat setup. It does not look done, but it is a good start. Even the seats have a boat seat color scheme.

Side pipes and hood window is really lame.... why would they do that? It's like a computer geek trying to pimp out their computer tower. You let people know you have a supercharger by roasting them, not by providing a lame ass window.

ZR1 has plexi on the hood as well.

the car is a SHOW car, its meant to attract attention and keep you remembering it later on.

The reason it has Chris Craft in the trunk and the trailer hitch is because it was a promotion that Chris Craft and GM put together, I remember reading about it in a boating trade magazine. The boat also has side exaust

Chris Craft by the way is the oldest boat builder in the US.

Classic Chris Craft wooden boats are amazing, and the only kind of boat I would own... but not that thing.

Interesting mods, some are OK, some are not. On the listed mods for the car there were no gauges listed, no auto dimming mirror, no mud flaps,and NO GLOVE BOX LIGHT! But I am interested in the model standing next to the car.

Car looks like crap. Nice boat, it's time for me to look at a newer boat and these sure look cool. Could not imagine screwing up my G8 like that though.
