For those of you lucky dogs who are already driving a G8 GT, is the cut off for the the fuel management obvious? Does it only happen on the highway? Going between eight and four cylinders.. I'm just curious how that is.

I have never felt a thing. The only thing I noticed about AFM on the hwy was the 23.5 mpg I was getting! :wink2:

When you get the Axlebacks you can hear it (a little). The tone of the exhaust changes a bit. Not bad though.

You can also go into engineering mode and it will tell you ALL ACTIVE, ACTIVATING, HALF ACTIVE and DEACTIVATING...

I can only tell when I'm really looking for it and have the radio completely turned off. My wife thinks I'm crazy when I say I hear it, so it is very faint, if anything.

I feel it more than hear it. It comes on when you are "feathering" the throttle at speeds below 70-75 mph. I have not felt it come on above 80 yet....:)

You can tell that it's on if you're in engineering mode (see other threads how to get into it). All I feel is a slight deep vibration.

depends on your sensitivity, I feel it right away. To answer your initial question, it happens both in city and highway driving.

I was wondering about this as well and if there was an indicator message telling you what it was running on. That's good to know.

That's the answer I was looking for. If it is that unnoticeable, than it must be pretty subtle. Very nice.
