Can anyone tell me if there was an actual increase in the MPG after doing a tune, also what modifications did you do?

Don't let those numbers dissuade you from getting a tune. If you drive the same after the tune as you were before it you should see an increase in mileage. Most tuners have been reporting ~3 mpg increase.

Our tune has been consistently good for 2-3+ MPG on every one we've tested so far as well as 30+ horsepower depending on mods :)

Very happy with VMS ECM and highway MPG! Wife got 24.2 mpg on I-75 in FL & GA for 700 mi. Heavy traffic, following me, NO CRUISE CONTROL, 69 mph ave. When we left SW FL, Gt had only 500 mi, hardly broken in. PLUS you get all that extra HP!

We are getting around 16-17 mpg. It's my fiancee's daily driver. So when I drive it in the evenings and weekends I tend to screw the mpg's up pretty good. :D

Usually the left lane crowd is going south, driving their Buick or Mercury and bent over wheel looking S C A R E D T O D E A T H! I call it threading the needle when you pass more on the right than the left.

On the trip north, just lots of traffic, most we saw in FL this winter. I could use cruise in Denali XL, but wife had to wander around trying to keep up. Believe she would have gotten at least 1 mpg better if the traffic was cooperative. Denali - 15.3 mpg over same route. Both were really loaded down.

Since we're back in IA, getting mid-19's in mixed driving.

With my bone-stock G8 GT, I regularly get 23.5-24.5 mpg (so far have driven almost 3,000 miles.) Do you really think I'll get 26-27 mpg after your tune? It just seems too good to be true.

My hwy driving is pretty much the same whereever I go in the midwest - fairly flat, cruise control on 74 mph, windows up, a/c on (auto climate control.)

Well you would be the first that didnt report at least a 2mpg gain if that gives you any idea :)

Would you expect similiar gains in performance and mileage with the 09 G8 GXP? Or is it to soon to tell?

Is the majority of the mileage increase coming from the trans tune?

thanks

People were getting a bump in mpg before they released the TCM tune.
