Sounds like many (most) of you on here are pretty knowledgeable about all the different mods available... Myself, I am completely ignorant, so I'm hoping you can help me out.

I'm looking to spend $500-1000 on performance mods and would like to know what the best options are.

Intake? Exhaust? I'm looking for horsepower/speed boost (not interested in messing with the suspension at this point), but don't really know what direction I should go in.

TIA :driving:

I think the Vector 93 octane ECM / TCM/ Roto-Fab Tune and Roto-Fab CAI in a new ECM is a good bang for the buck. 40+ HP and 40+ torque at the rear wheels and better MPG. Vector is doing a combo sail.

What would all that cost?

That should help you out, there is no better upgrade for these cars for the price! 40+ WHP and 3+ MPG cant be beat!

Thanks guys. I assume CAI is cold air intake. What is all that other stuff? ECM and TCM?

ECM = Engine Control Module
TCM = Transmission Control Module

Basically, the computers that control the engine and transmission.

IMO, I would get the VMS tune for the ECM and TCM and go with a muffler swap or StolenFox's axlebacks. The CAI can wait.
