The Commodore VE, on which the G8 is based, dominates the field in a "V8 Supercars" race from Australia to be carried on SPEED TV this coming Sunday, 12/13/09, at 1 p.m. eastern. Thanks to all on an earlier "Lounge" thread who helped find this out!

Having seen a clip of Commodores racing, I can vouch for it being very exciting to watch them hustle NASCAR-sized sedans through a narrow winding road course track at speeds that sometimes seem to defy physics.

What's the source of your Tuscon listing? SPEED TV still shows it on their schedule for 1 p.m. to 3 p.m. eastern, per below. Preceded by Barret Jackson auction & followed at 3 eastern by the CTS-V challenge (which includes Bob Lutz).

If your source is the Comcast scroll, my guess is that Comcast is wrong. They've been wrong before, and right now (2:12 a.m. edit), their scroll shows Glen Beck should be on Fox News. But Mike Huckabee's show is on instead.

You'd think SPEED would know what they're showing on their own channel.

It does not show on my Directtv guide either, but I have verified this on their website, so I am setting my DVR to record and hope for the best.

Yep, DirecTV guide shows Lucas Oil Off Road Racing at 1pm ET.

As of last tuesday my comcast box showed the V8 Supercars. As of this morning my Windows Media Center box shows the Lucas Oil Racing.

UPDATE: Even though my Comcast programming scroll still shows the Lucas series for 1 p.m. today on SPEED TV, it's now after 1 and the V8 Supercars show has begun!

DirecTV as well. Not sure why it's listed as Lucas Oil Off Road, but it's definitely the VE's vs. the Ford's. I assume it's the Falcon in Australia?
