Is it much louder with the h-pipe compared to stock?

roughly 20%

The stock mufflers really kill the sound.

That's a good deal from S.F. and a good solid product.

Now nobody can insult me about my $66.00 exhaust mod. It was replaced by a S.F. H pipe!

Installed mine today, nice and easy install. Didn't feel any real difference yet, maybe a little less torque and throttle response and definetly not louder. The computer may have to relearn that there is less back pressure and take a little time to recalibrate at least I hope so. Good job and fits perfect, most people looking under the car wouldn't know that it wasn't factory.
thanks

Did you weld it in yourself or pay? If so, what did it cost for the welding.

The H-pipe has no real effect on backpressure as the stock resonator is a straight through design. The difference in tone will be hard to notice with the stock mufflers as they are so restrictive and quiet. Replacing the stock mufflers for some higher flowing performance ones should make a big, big difference!

S.F. I received my H-Pipe today and had it installed by at lunchtime at the local muffler shop. It took less than an hour and was only charged $40 welded of course (nice welds too). They commented on the high quality workmanship and the ease of installation.

I love the deeper tone. I was worried that it was going to be too loud with the Axlebacks you built for me, but the combination is awesome. Thanks for the quality work from a quality guy. I wish all business transactions were like yours.

Thanks again!

Does this just increase the sound, performance, or both? Just curious as I do not know a lot about H-pipes. So if you could inform me of what this will do for my car I would really appreciate it. Thank you!

jUS CUrious..do you think there is any power gain .over the resonator.or would you say with just aftermarket mufflers it has a louder / deeper tone?
Has any of your customers dynoed a before and after?? jus curious

At this power lever any gains would be very minor. The H-pipe in conjunction with Flowmasters is as close as you will ever get to making and LS based motor sound like an old small block chevy.....

In response to before and after dyno, yes I did. Bone stock 295 rwh and 311 tq. After h-pipe and axle back, 313 rwh and 322 tq. This was before I installed the roto fab cai also so that should help a little also. Just ordered my long tube headers so will have those installed and will have it dyno'd again. After the help from S.F and the cai and long tubes, I am hoping after tuning and a few dyno pulls I can be around 360rwh and 370-380 tq. Keeping fingers crossed.

I may have one left. There is a possibility I might have to use it to replace one lost in transit. I'll know in a few days if its available.

Are you not going to make the H pipes any longer? I noticed it has been over a month since you updated your other thread that is linked to your vendor ad to the left.

I had your H pipe on my 2006 GTO that I totalled out and loved the sound. I had removed an X pipe and replaced it with yours and, wow, what a difference.

Yes, unfortunately I am officially "retired" from the exhaust business.

Thanks for your kind words about my work!
