Well, after 1,700 miles I ran two cars. Late, and no where near civilization.

First was a 2007 Mustang GT A5 with full exhaust and a tune (Nitto drag radials). From a dig I was little bit in front but by mid to upper second I got passed. Ending at 130, I was beat by 2-3 cars. :( Oh well, I'm a good sport. It just sucks to loose! :whine: Did four runs. The G8 actually did the best stabbing the gas, not foot braking it! So watch out for 07's modded! I don't know about stock ones. 07's+ are faster than previous model years due to different gearing.

Second was a 2000 Pontiac GTP A4 with a smaller S/C pulley and an intercooler (street tires). From a dig I put 3 cars quickly and it stayed like that at 120 when I shut her down. The last race was from a 20 mph roll....big mistake! Now his FWD had traction and my tranny took what seemed like forever to drop to first. He won by 1-2 cars.

All in all I am satisfied with the G8. :) It's a quick and comfortable 4-door with a huge potential to be much faster. If you do race, please don't do it when everyone is out and about!

Yeah, I'm not too crazy about Sonic unless there is cool people there. I got tired of all the :pir_flag:'s there, but let me know and I'll meet up with you and the LSx group. Is that the LS1 tech group?

People who indicate their vin number (in your case the number per 888) shouldn't post about racing, there are stories of Subaru, Mazda, and other owners that had their warranty killed due to posting about racing.

My 2 cents :soapbox:

two chevy dealerships (one in VA, one in FL) knew i raced and tracked my TB SS, and they didn't care when it had problems, they honored everything...

Well, its a performance car. If my warranty is canned because I kept the engine rpm's stock didn't hit the top speed limiter and I raced you best belive I'd be pissed! If that happened I would go out of my way and buy that supercharger and exhaust ASAP!

Need4spd, thanks for the heads up I'm not venting at you. I just don't think that is fair! If anything I'd hook up with Atlas and find out which one was in Florida personally! :)

GM has been pretty good about supporting the community, as far as I have seen.
