I hope we get alternatives to drilling into the front bumper for states who must have front plates. I don't see any other option at this point. The way the front of the vehicle looks, a front plate is really going to mar the looks much like the Solstice.

Well I got lucky on my GTO. Both TN (where I live) & AL (where the car came from) don't require front license plates. So I got the bracket in the trunk at delivery.

Like always, if you get to a dealer in time you can stop them from putting the front plate on. But that's probably going to be the standard mounting option on this car.

I got to my dealer before my car did. By at least an hour.

If I had bought mine new I would have camped out to make sure they didn't attach that damn thing.

My plate frame came in the glove box. My salesman told me that they only install them at the request of the buyer.

Well, mine got installed without my asking - I think my dealer does this to every car. Front plates are required in Texas but many people don't run 'em in front, and the police don't care one way or the other.

I'm going to pull the front bracket and install a couple of those wide, flat, black plastic snap-in plugs.
