So what's this I keep hearing about the new HD Radio? More stations for free?

Anyone have a HD Radio? Is it portable (plug in aux)?

They want a fortune for an add on tuner...like $150+. I have a JVC head unit with built in HD tuner in my V6 Camaro and I only paid $150 for it total! It's just digital signal so it's clearer than analog. Over the air radio sucks so bad I don't listen to it anyways. Too many commercials and idiots blabbing and not enough music. I just listen to my XM.

I feel the same way about XM. Never again will I throw away $10/month for that "Service". I am however curious myself about HD radio, which I would be willing to try out.

But its DIGITAL... And its HD... Seems like anything can be tagged with HD nowadays. I'm still waiting for apple to come out with an iHDiPodiMac... maybe even throw in a few X's, to make it more extreme. iXHDXiPodXXXMac

OK, so I'll skip the HD radio. I listen to my IPOD all the time anyway and with the 6 disk MP3 player, I have tons of tunes.

I want to know why XM states that they are commercial free, yet they are talking about themselves between every song it seems. Why isn't that considered a commercial? I'm glad it didn't come with my car. BT would have been nice, but who really cares. This car is bad ass just the way it is.
