Just traded my 2004 GTO for a brand new 2009 Liquid Red Premium Package GT.

let me tell you the dual color interior really grew on me after buying it (I intially thought it was too much red)

Oh yeah..... Congrats! GTO's are nice, but I personally like the G8 looks much better.

I've yet to hear my car called blah, or looks like a Cavalier, I am sure you got tired of hearing that. Hell I don't even drive a GTO and I get tired of hearing that.

I got the ebony leather, and the performance compared to my GTO is slightly better.
The handling is slightly different, but I will get used to that quickly.
The build quality is much better too. Less windnoise, a little more solid.
Not saying my GTO was bad, but this is better.
Also, all of the things that the GTO should have had, are in this.
XM, Onstar, etc....

JRC, glad the red and black grew on you. As for me, it is what swayed me to buying a white G8. I was convinced that I wanted silver until I saw the inside of the white one parked next to it on the lot. Had there been a silver w/ the red interior on the lot, I would have gone with it, but I have ZERO regrets about my purchase.

Funny you say that, because they had a white GT with Black interior, and It looked awesome, but it was already detailed and sold, waiting for the paperwork to be signed.

I talked myself into this interior, because it was all that was left in this little town..................... and I lended up loving it, but the solid black is great, and was my first choice.

Not that I bought this car to impress people, but people are always impressed w/ the red/black interior.

Yep, when we got the GXP we were looking for WH/onyx A6 w/roof. Could only find the Onyx/Red interior. At first it seemed like a bit much, but now both my wife and I have gotten used to it. I appreciate the difference between it and my onyx GT...
