I have a 2009.5 G8 GXP M6 and after following this board for months, the mods I think are reasonable for me are a Borla CatBack exhaust system and a Roto-Fab CAI system. But here is my question.
I know that adding a cat-back exhaust system cannot void my warranty. But what about the CAI system? Does that affect the warranty? Also, can I install these two mods without getting an ECM tune? I'm not asking if a tune is optimal; I know that to get the MOST out of the change, I'd need a tune. What I'm asking is, can the ECM adjust to these mods by itself, or will there be a fault or trouble code or any other problem?
