For G8 owners like myself who really wanted bluetooth integration...
I have read little things here and there about JHP offering one so I decided to inquire. I was hoping they would provide a ETA.

See the response below:

Thank you for your enquiry.
Yes, JHP are working on a G8 intergraded blue tooth phone kit, there is just
some more testing to be done before prices & release date are nominated. We
suspect the second or third week of June will be the release date, I will
keep your details so we can notify you, also you can check out our web site
for updates on the BT kits.

ok here is what they said
buttons on the steering wheel are no go. Signal goes through the speedometer converted to the Low Speed GMLAN Serial Data and it goes to the Onstar. So there is nothing you can do to it without disconnecting Onstar completely. Otherwise bluetooth works fine, just need to figure out where to put the button for it.

How exactly do bluetooth devices in cars work? I've never seen one in action. Do they audibly tell you who is calling? Or do they display the caller ID information in a screen?

Would it be cool to have caller ID info displayed on the G8's DIC or radio display? Or how about replacing that Atari-like display on the dash with phone information?!

If Onstar has to go to make it work I wouldn't do it.

Losing OnStar to gain bluetooth is not exciting news to me. I can always use a wireless earpiece and have bluetooth... I can't do the same to regain onstar.

Its just stating that you cannot use the button on the steering wheel. Another button will have to be placed somewhere else in the car. The GTO had the BT button in the center console. There was a button cutout with no button right by the window switches. Bluetooth and OnStar will work fine together according to the referenced post.

Question for JHP:

Will your BT kit have the option to disable onstar so we can use the steering will button?

It would be a nice feature for those of us who won't subscribe to onstar.
