Hope everyone had a good holiday.

Anyone have to drive the past few days?

Happy to say my baby has been tucked in the garage since the 23rd.

The old Cherokee is not as fun but does the job well. I don't imagine the G8 would have gone much anywhere. It has the Potenzas (Summer only right?) and would probably have just spun in circles.

Mine has summer only tires too, and have spent the last two weeks in Northern Missouri. You can drive it, but I wouldn't advice it as I left there yesterday while it was snowing and had a hell of a time getting it anywhere. Got home without incident, but some people up there don't know how to slow down in the snow, especially when there is only one lane each way visible on a 4 lane divided highway.

Live less than an hour away so I feel I can quailify.

Yes ran with the stuff on summer tires, not seeing what the huge issue was. Just took my time, gave distance between me and others, and finely kept in mind its a 350+ hp rwd car.

I drove the work truck and left the G8 parked til last Friday. Back in the G8 for the time being. Going to have to drive the Dodge if it gets bad again.

I drove mine to work on christmas eve and was stuck there intil 4pm on christmas day, we were snowed in our office.

As long as you take your time you will be fine, but yes the summer potenza's do not do very well in snow at all.

drove most of x-mas eve on the summer tires, didn't seems to much different than my old 95 explorer with Goodyear wranglers on it.

But then again on the highway I couldn't go past 35 if I tried my best, due to traffic (nor would I anyways given the slickness of the roads.).

I will say though, the Potenza's are no where as good in the winter as the mich ps2's that my 2005 bmw 330CI had ;)

Drove mine the past two days. Tried to get myself to wait until all the snow and ice melted but looks like that might be a while.

All the roads are clear here anyway, except for bunches of patches of ice in my apt complex including a big one right outside my garage!!

When I backed out the first day, it was right onto the ice, put into D and let off the brake and just felt the tires sitting there spinning. LOL. Just backed up a bit further to some pavement and all was good. Looks like I will have to get it tucked back in before tomorrow afternoon.

I'm not so much worried about myself driving ok...it's everyone else you have to watch out for.
