wahoo a blue one!! finally! looks better than i thought!!

Man, that color is just so weird. I dont mean that in a bad way lol. Just looks like it cant make up its mind if it wants to be blue, purple, redish blue lol. It's def unique I will give you that. Sunset, looks more blue. Prob in the sunlight, little purple. Still congrats on the car and enjoy it:)

Looks way purple in the sunlight from above. If you get along the side, it's more blue. At night, it's just bad ass.

The car only had 3 miles on the clock when I picked it up. My salesman filled it up with supreme (which is standard on GT's and Vettes).

I went with Ignition Orange Metallic because the Stealth looked too purple, but man, that car looks awesome. I am going to have to see one sitting next to my IOM car to decide which I like better - right now, I love my IOM car. I'm just about to hit 600 miles on it and then the fun can begin!!!!

Curious, did you order it in the Stealth or just happen to find it on the Dealer's lot?

Nice man! Glad that it did show up Stealth Blue. Now dont screw the car up since it is a lease, I'll buy it when your done. That's the 2nd best color to Ignition Orange.:wink2:

Just happen to find it listed on the Pontiac vehicle search. Most of us (on the board) have known about the G8 for awile, and I thought there would be no way for me to get 1 out of the 40 built this color.

Guess it was my lucky day, bought it on the 8th of the month!

I see you already debadged the "Pontiac" lettering from the back! Looks sharp man. I like it a lot more than what I've seen from Pontiac.com - actual color is a very interesting, rich blue color.

Thanks everyone. I didn't know what to expect since they have only been at some car shows. Seeing it in person is a whole nother experience. Seems the camera cant capture all the beauty. I'll be out today (once the sun comes out) to take more pictures. This paint is amazing. Had people coming from different dealerships just to look at my car. Needless to say, I'm in love.

I have to say, in Stealth Blue with the 19's, it looks even more like a beemer. Not in a bad way either. Love the color.

thanks for the additional pics. The car does look great and 1 of 40 is a rare car indeed. I would def like to see it in person but the chances of that happening look pretty slim.

If the 40 number is correct, it's hard to imagine why Pontiac bothered with this color for one model year and built so few. Its not like only 40 people wanted it. Pontiac ordered all the 2008 G8's. Love the pictures. Wish there were more out there to purchase in this color.

Luck has 100% to do with it. I set out for a White Hot cause I thought blue would be too rare and hard to get.

It looks so much more purple in person. I'm using a Olympus 790SW. I'll try holding a polarized filter and another one I have in front of my camera. I think the purple shows up a bit more now.

The third is without any filters earlier in the day.

I like the color but think I do like IOM better after seeing your pics. I'd definately take one in blue though. Too bad they killed the color. I'd take a ute in this color!
