Whats the difference between both brands ( i mean, they are both owned by jl audio, so whats so different, which one is more pricey?)

FOR EXAMPLE< whats the difference with TMA 1000 Watt AMP and JL AUDIO 1000 WAtt AMP SLASH SERIES

Also, what is the differense between the slash series and A-series for jl amp?

I've never heard of TMA, but JL is definitely a good brand. TMA may just be a cheaper line of amps. I remember hearing that a good way to figure out how much power an amp is really putting out is to look at the fuses on the side. Apparently you can take the fuse and multiply the number of amps by 10 to get a good idea of the amplifier's true wattage. ( for amps with multiple fuses, just add the fuses together then multiply by 10) This can help you understand why a 1000 watt JL Audio (with two 50 amp fuses) amp is $$$ more than a Sony Xplod "1000 watt" that has one 15 amp fuse.
I know i didn't really answer your question at all, but I hope that helped a little.

TMA is made by JL Audio. It is their budget line. If money was tight, I would have no reservations about purchasing a TMA product. If I was going to keep the car for a long time and I was very serious about my car audio, I would save up longer and get the JL line instead. JL makes awesome equipment and it will last a long time.

TMA makes decent stuff... I would recomend if you are short on money to downgrade to a TMA amp instead of trying to save money by going to TMA subs... on the scale of things their subs are not as good as their amps.

I just put TMAs in my GTO. I previously had Boston Acoustics top of the line Pro 60's and the woofers in them blew! my JL dealer doesn't display or advertise the TMA (nor does JL I think) but sells them. they sound almost as good, and cost 1/2 as much. only downside is they are made in China.
