:Coming home from work last night, there was a VW GTI (guessed that it was about a 2003 or 2004) that was pimped out with exhausted and what sounded like CAI that was in front of me. As we turned the corner to get on the highway, he took off leaving me several car lengths behind before I was able to downshift into 2nd (wasn't expecting a race, so was in normal drive mode).

But before I knew it, I was next to him on the highway and quickly 8+ car lengths ahead before I shut it down nearing 100 mph. As I slowed back down to 70, he passed me with a "what the hell does that thing have in it?" look on his face. I'm assuming he hasn't read up on the G8 yet!!

I know it was just a little pocket rocket of a car, but was still fun to see the look on his face and marks the first kill of the season...:driving:

Nice kill! I still run into people who have no idea what the GTO is, I'd imagine the G8 is even more surprising being that it's 4 doors and doesn't say "6.0" on the back.

i had something like that happen to me also, but we were at a light and he was in a newer acura that sounded like a pissed off bumble bee...
