Haven't tried that yet... hmmm... with the optional NAV in Aus, there is a chance it may, and just isn't advertised.

I can fit a lil over 100 mp3's on one disc, encoded at 256. Good enough for me. I have 4 MP3 CDs in my car right now.

I have been filling up each CD with 6 albums (about 70 songs). So about 420 songs total if you use six CDs.
If a hard drive was an option, I would have purchased it instantly. Over Bluetooth. Over Nav...

Ya, i wouldnt expect a dvd mp3 to work. That is one type of media that never got to be to popular.

In a nutshell your answer is No.

In the Australian version, like your G8 the dash unit will play mp3's on CD, and display titles if you have your mp3 tags corrent.

In the Australian version, the optional overhead rear seat DVD will play standard DVD's as well as MP3's on a DVD disc, will not play DTS audio on DVD either.
