just in case some of you miss this thread in the tuning section!

does anyone know of a good G8 tuner in the NW Houston area? I'm close to HPE and Fastlane turbo but not sure if there are any other tuners close by.

I know HPE has only modded 1 G8, i don't know of anyone who has gone to fastlane with a G8 yet.

i rarely see a G8 around my area, in fact i only remember seeing 1 a few months back. the wife has seen 2 in the area of her office but they were all stock.

i installed our headers, x pipe and vararam, this car is in desperate need of a tune as soon as i can get it on the dyno, i am ready and ready now.

I've been there for a weekend dyno tune thing they did, kinda like dyno your car to see what it makes slash car show. I've just heard good things about them, nothing yet about any G8s being tuned out of there.. why don't you just do it right the first time and go with livernois? I dont think there is a single person who has disliked their tune from them, as a matter of fact some people hate the tunes they get some shops to do, and it seems like livernois has it down to an art.

i hear good things of livernois but, i'd like to find someone local, that i can see and talk to in person, someone to help me with problems on a personal level.

i've thought of that route but after talking to a few people, i've decided to go to someones shop.

def. i will be calling them tomorrow for sure, i may even drive over to speak with them at lunch time and if i like what i see and hear, i may go ahead and schedule a tune with them right away. Price pending too.

I just spoke with matthew, he says $550 and it would take 3-4 hours to tune! sounds like a considerable length of time but if that's what it takes then fine!!

price is a little high when compared to other shops but he said they have done 7 or 8 G8's in the past.

i got my appointment set for tomorrow with Matthew at LMR for the tune! i'll let you all know how it goes and post up the dyno sheet!!

LMR tuned the wifes GT today. i was hoping for a bit more power but the torque sure makes me happy. and it should be more than enough for her.

we turned off the AFM, i haven't driven it yet, too much traffic. the wife likes it alot better.

not sure that the Vram gives that much but it sure didn't hurt anything.

I'd say over stock a 50 hp gain isn't too bad after the tune was complete.
