Anyone have instructions on how to do this...?
I have no idea where to start...

ECM located on passenger side below fuse box just behind headlight. To remove, loosen fuse box & air cleaner box attached to engine with key OFF. Move air box aside so you can easily access the ECM. It is held in by 2 tabs on the bottom. Push them towards the engine and gently lift on ECM at same time. Comes right out. Next remove the two wire loom plugs attached to ECM. They unclip by first releasing the red locking clip, then pressing down in their center which releases the lever. Move the lever all the way up and wiggle the plugs loose. Presto, it's out! Install new one in reverse. Now - Repeat the removal and install 10 times to see if you can beat my 5 minute record......

If your car starts after the new ECM is in place, you don't have to do the key re-learn. The crank learn needs to be done only the first time you add a new ECM.

Good Luck!

I spent 2 hours looking for the thing the first time! Last ECM I replaced was a tuner unit in my SAAB 9000. It was located under the drivers seat...

Actually, it's really easy to do once you figure it out. Always need to remember not to FORCE things loose.

What are the key relearn and crank relearn andhow do you do them?

Key re-learn is necessary if the ECM you are installing has been in another car. Vector Motor Sports will tell you how to do when you buy their ECM. The crank learn is necessary with any different ECM that is put into your car. If I would loan you mine, you would need to do both for instance. The crank learn is done by a MDS DashHawk which costs $299. at VMS, though I believe they have a special on them if you act now. OR... you can use a Tech II tool which all GM dealers have and many private shops can provide. I bought the DashHawk!

Thank you ROb for your help....Ya I was looking in the interior for it...and in the engine bay... I was clueless lol
I am thinking since I have another car...to just ship mine to vector...so I dont have to do the crank relearn..
I was thinking though..isnt the air box go from the middle of the car..and than go to the drivers side of the car??
