You can't really blame Pontiac for giving its rear-wheel-drive G8 Concept and G6 GXP to rapper 50 Cent to use in his video for the song "Amusement Park". After all, pick a premium nameplate like Bentley, Rolls Royce, Lamborghini or Ferrari and one could find at least half a dozen (or more) music videos in which each marque has been featured prominently. At the same time, we must remember these are Pontiacs, and so we're asked to suspend disbelief and accept that given the choice, Fifty and his entourage would roll in one of these two vehicles before a Bentley Continental GTC, Rolls Royce Phantom, Lamborghini Gallardo or Ferrari Enzo.

Note: If you're not into rap and want to get to the goods, fast forward to 2:00 in and you'll have your prize, though the Pontiacs only get 4 seconds of screen time.

At least from a Business point of view, any sales that GM can generate from something like this is a good thing

Ahh crap I guess I double posted this. The more people to like the car, the better I say.

No no no. The more publicity this car gets the more likely the dealers are going to mark it up.

I'm sorry, cars don't look any cooler or classier when you throw them in a rap video.

Look what happened with the 300. Those cars were a staple of rap videos the first couple years they were out and are now the rental of choice for dope pushers (two guys just got killed here downtown in their rented 300 a few weeks ago).

It may be different where you live, but that's the image the 300 has here. Hope the G8's legacy is different...

I guess he liked the cars, and requested them put into the video.
