: New year, new group buy, new process!!
Dylan@Adams 02-12-2010, 12:49 PM Since we had such a big issue with GB's the last run we've devised a much better system for keeping fraud orders out and making sure the members get the maximum benefit of their membership here.
That being said what do you guys want to see in a G8 GB from adams polishes??
There won't be any "pick your own product" type GB's... it will need to be specific products or groups of products. At this point we won't get into pricing, but please feel free to suggest what sounds good to you... the more interest the better the price.
Some ideas that have been floating around and have worked recently on other sponsored sites:
Plush MF - 5, 10, or 20 plush microfiber cloths for a deep discount
MF bundle - a combo of plush MF, drying towels, waterless towels, and glass towels for a package price
Americana wax + applicator + 2 plush MF towels
Popular gallon pack - 1 gal. of detail spray, 1 gal. of car wash, and one gallon of VRT + funnels and 16oz spray bottles
Hand pack - 16oz SHR polish, 16oz Revive polish, 2 sided flip pad, 16oz buttery wax, red hex grip applicator
tbully 02-12-2010, 12:52 PM I'm thinking about getting one of your "big kits" that comes with the PC polisher within the next few months. (hint hint) :-)

We can possibly do a GB on pc kits if theres enough interest, but it would be in the next few weeks, not the next few months.
tbully 02-12-2010, 12:57 PM That would be fine by me. I just would like it by the spring.
Subscribed and waiting.....
Thanks Dylan.

Dylan@Adams 02-12-2010, 04:25 PM We can add that to the list of considerations...

I know for spring that I will need some revive, some swirl and haze remover, the associated applicators, and some super plush towels(they rock). My arm could probably be twisted into buying some shampoo and other accessories as well(firehose attachment anyone?). I need to get the car cleaned, clay-barred, and shined up when spring arrives. I do like the MF towel bundle buy idea.
MIEngineer 02-13-2010, 01:04 AM My 5 gallons of detail spray and the one gallon of wash that came with the wash kit are still in healthy supply...haven't even had time to use the PC.
I'd be down for some MF towels and maybe an interior kit for now...maybe a clay bar?
tbully - there was an MGM GXP in Southfield a while back [last year] on 11 mile/696 service drive...ever come up that way?

Could have been me. I live in Canton and work in Farmington Hills but wander that way from time to time (Royal Oak, etc).
courtroom19 02-13-2010, 05:21 PM I'd be in for a hand pack.
- 16oz SHR polish, 16oz Revive polish, 2 sided flip pad, 16oz buttery wax, red hex grip applicator
SMSO966 02-14-2010, 01:12 AM I'm interested in the hand pack or the gallon pack, but picking the gallons would be better.
Indy0809 02-14-2010, 07:16 AM The MF towel bundles looks good. Something with a clay bar. Interior cleaning kit.
RoflsupG8 02-15-2010, 11:22 AM I have everything ready except for wax. I suspect a lot of people in the snow belt will need to put a fresh coat of wax on after winter.
stibuki 02-15-2010, 11:28 AM 2nd... MF towels (never can have to many) Clay Bar, Interior cleaning kit.
DRCUSTOMPARTS 02-15-2010, 11:55 AM I asked this question in another thread a couple days ago and it didn't get answered. What's the difference between the detail spray and the spray glaze? I'm looking for a quick shine between waxing.
SRG963 02-15-2010, 11:59 AM I asked this question in another thread a couple days ago and it didn't get answered. What's the difference between the detail spray and the spray glaze? I'm looking for a quick shine between waxing.
From what I've read
DS is more of a waterless wash/shine
BSG is more of a polish after washing
To use Adam's Brilliant Spray Glaze, first clean your car by washing and drying or quick detailing with Adam's Detail Spray. Shake Adam's Brilliant Spray Glaze thoroughly, then lightly spray on a microfiber applicator and wipe on your car. Allow Adam's Brilliant Spray Glaze time to haze, then buff off with a clean Adam's Super-Plush Microfiber Towel. Wow, what a shine!
DRCUSTOMPARTS 02-15-2010, 12:25 PM That's what I thought, thanks for confirming that Shawn. I don't like to use anything on my car when it's dirty, so a hand wash and spray glaze is what I want.
a_monty 02-15-2010, 03:02 PM I asked this question in another thread a couple days ago and it didn't get answered. What's the difference between the detail spray and the spray glaze? I'm looking for a quick shine between waxing.
Here's the answer Dylan gave me a few months ago:
The detail spray is a utilitarian type product. It can be used for all kinds of things including light dust removal, clay lubrication, polish pad priming, polish or wax residue removal, etc. It has a mild amount of gloss enhancers in it so it will make the finish slightly more glossy after use.
The Brilliant Spray glaze is for one thing only... SHINE. Its not a lubricant and it can't be used for dusting or any of the other things DS can. You apply it like a spray wax, spray onto an applicator, wipe on, wait for it to dry to a haze, wipe off. It is nothing like a sealant as it is not at all durable. Pretty much you would use BSG as a topper over a wax or sealant for added bling or times when you don't feel like doing a full wax, but still want a little extra pop out of the finish. I love it on glass and chrome personally... makes them look super glossy and bright. Again, it doesn't have any protective qualities to it what so ever... think of it as a wax without protection. Its purely an appearance product that will be gone with the first wash or rain its exposed to. A lot of guys like it for car shows - get to the event, use waterless wash or detail spray to clean the paint real quick, then apply a dose of BSG and you're set!
DRCUSTOMPARTS 02-15-2010, 03:08 PM Thanks Monty, I'm looking for a shine between waxing, so spray glaze should do the trick.
majesticix 02-15-2010, 03:48 PM I still want that spray gun man. :)
Also, do you sell some kind of flux capacitor so that I can manage my time to PC my whole car...that thing rocks but boy is it time consuming. I must have spent a few hours just on my hood.
Dylan@Adams 02-15-2010, 04:02 PM I asked this question in another thread a couple days ago and it didn't get answered. What's the difference between the detail spray and the spray glaze? I'm looking for a quick shine between waxing.
Detail spray has some minor cleaning properties, a little shine enhancer, and can be used as a pad primer, clay lube, dusting spray, aids in drying, or with polish/wax removal.
Brilliant Spray glaze adds a ton of shine, but it can't do any of the other things. You essentially apply it like a wax. Spray on, wipe, allow it to dry to a haze, the wipe away.
MIEngineer 02-15-2010, 10:38 PM Interested to see where this GB goes :)
DetTigers 02-16-2010, 11:33 AM I don't have any Adams products...yet. A starter pack would be great for those of us starting from scratch. Out of the GB's you mentioned I like the hand pack though..
liquidred 02-16-2010, 03:52 PM i am interested in any group buy Adams is the best
Dylan@Adams 02-16-2010, 05:10 PM Alright guys... I'm taking everyones suggestions into account along with other sites that might be involved and will devise our first GB of 2010. Speak up now if you have anything else to add, opinions, etc.

We love free chit! lol
SmokeyBear911 02-16-2010, 10:33 PM I can't wait to get in...
Dylan@Adams 02-19-2010, 04:55 PM I'm kicking around some pricing and working with our warehouse/suppliers/etc to see what we can do about discounts. Stay tuned, I hope to kick this off this weekend or the coming week.

Any of those 3 I would be in on. The hand pack is kind of meh for those of us that have the PC already(I think quite a few do) and I prefer MSW over hand waxes like americana.
Scarhead 02-25-2010, 07:51 AM Towel collection or Popular Gallons would be my picks, but I'm in for any group buy, I love bargains.
Dylan@Adams 02-28-2010, 11:11 AM I've decided to schedule up 2 GB's simultaneously... the MF bundle and the Hand kit as those were the 2 most mentioned here (at least by my count)
I plan to have active links for you to order from by tomorrow and I'll post specifics soon. I hope to have the following setup:
Low price for the Hand kit by itself
Low price for the MF bundle by itself
Even lower price if you order both
Stay tuned.
courtroom19 02-28-2010, 01:46 PM Woo Hoo!
If the combined discount is cheap enough, I might have to buy both :)
SRG963 02-28-2010, 02:04 PM :iagree:
DetTigers 02-28-2010, 02:30 PM Can't wait!
mongosG8 03-01-2010, 12:18 AM Thanks Dylan!!!
I agree with you courtroom. Looks like both for me if the discount is generous!
Skyman70 03-01-2010, 01:43 PM Thanks Dyan. I'm interested. Can count me in for something...
fiveoh 03-01-2010, 01:49 PM If we dont have waterless wash can we use the waterless towels to dry the car like a great white drying towel or should they only be used with waterless wash?
Dylan@Adams 03-01-2010, 04:28 PM OK, we're stocked on the hand kit supplies, the microfiber I am waiting on confirmation of when a new shipment will arrive.
With the way you G8 vultures are with group buys I want to be sure we have enough to fill all your orders.
:D
Dylan@Adams 03-02-2010, 11:28 AM Unfortunately guys the MF will have to wait. Our supplier is moving slow to keep up with our demand so in the interest of satisfying orders that require MF we'll hold off on that part of the GB.
The good news is I have some awesome pricing setup on that hand kit, the thread will be up shortly and the link will be posted here to sign up.
RoflsupG8 03-02-2010, 11:38 AM Mumble I bought most of the hand kit recently. Looks like I'm going for something else!

Sorry... I try to make everyone happy, but theres just no way to get everyone exactly what they want in all cases. If you're looking to get something specific let me know and maybe I can add it to the list of daily special deals for the future.
