I'm so not happy. Onstar wasn't helpful much, I could have called a tow truck.

 This can't be good.

Did they have any ideas about what it could be? Or they just said you had to get it towed? :The_Villagers:

Good luck...

Disconnect the battery ground in the trunk.. let it sit for 30 seconds reconnect it and start (assuming the battery has a charge)

I'll try that now. Is the camera in the trunk? LOL

So, how do I get into the trunk? Everything is dead!

Lower the rear seat pass through reach in and pull the emergency release ;)

What is OnStar doing? Do they not know what is wrong with your car? I thought that they could at least start it for you.

Someone reported recently about their battery terminal being loose right after they picked up the car. Maybe yours got loose too?

Genius.

Turns out it was a loose -cable on the battery. I just pulled it off by hand. Put it back and screwed it down. Started right up.

Guess that should have been checked at the dealership.

OnStar....funny thing. You have to activate the service before they can locate your car. Something my dealer should have reminded me.

Alls good now. Ride on brothers and check your battery!

Thanks VMS. I appreciate the help.

No sweat, I've seen that two ways so far one with the loose cable one with the modules locking up for no apparent reason. I'm just glad your car is running and you dont have to take it to the dealer! :D

We should probably post this as a service warning for everyone to check their battery terminals to see if they're on tight before someone else gets stuck on the road like you did.

Glad that the problem got solved man.

Yes, I'm glad it was such a easy fix. Tow truck's lack respect for what they are towing 99% of the time. I was out taking pictures of the bottom of the car in the rain! Probably looked pretty funny.

Thank you again Vector for the wise suggestion.

Part of the delivery process is suppose to be activating onstar with you. I would make sure you call the dealer and complain.

The dealership puts in the order for the OnStar, but you as the owner have to actually activate it. All so they can try to push you into buying extra services like minutes for the hands-free talk and stuff.

As for the key locking in the ignition...must have been freaky. Glad that's never happened to me, I probably would've panicked. It's a good thing VMS has run into this before.

It was freaky. I kept looking for the hidden camera :) Thought for sure there was one.
