Hi guys, I have received A LOT of requests for "Black" versions of our parts. Due to Black steel being more expensive we usually don't offer our parts initially in colored metals. But we can create parts in Black Steel. See Below...

Now if you all would like the optional Black Steel Versions and enough people can commit to a purchase I may be able to offer any (Polished) part in Black Steel. If I do decide to do this then it will be a forum Exclusive offer. Meaning no one else would be able to buy our G8 Accessories in Black Steel accept you members. This steel is more expensive for us to buy and that would increase the price for you also.

This would/could mean Grilles, Hood Panel, Rear Diffuser, Inner Fender Covers, ie anything you see that is polished!

Well let me know what you all think and if I get a good response I will see if it can happen!

in your first post you mention "black steel" and here you mention that the finish will be removed?? to me, there is no such thing as "black steel". can you please elaborate on this topic of black steel?

Right, there is no such thing as black colored steel. What is available is a black finish (see pictures above) that the metal company we purchase from makes. It is a high quality finish straight from the steel manufacturing company that is put on over top of polished steel. Almost like a powder coat. Now some of our other parts have a Brushed Steel finish. We do that by taking the polished steel (no finish just mirror reflected 304) and brush it by hand to get that nice look. Now if we tried to hand brush black coated steel the black finish would be removed and look like normal brushed steel.

Wow, I think I'm liking that more than the polished stainless. At least for some parts. Would be nice to have a combination of both.

yea if we could get black grilles i might be down for that. that alumnium and chrome look just look a bit cheesy in my opinion. would love to see those side mirror G8 piece in black also

I was referring to ebay items and other parts sold by other vendors, not theirs directly, i know its not chrome.

Alright guys heres the deal. I talked with the Boss and it is approx 30% more for this Black Coated Steel due solely to the fact that it is that much more to buy the metal. That puts the Grilles at about $500 for the top 2 only. I know that is a little steep and wanted to let you know before we went further with it. Now the Mirror Trim can be done for around $180 in black for the sides and rear mirror trim.

I’m looking for a black matte finish, not a shiny black. You also have decorative trim going around the parts which I personally don’t want. So, what I’m looking for is really basic out of regular metal and i and people can paint it flat black or color match it to the cars themselves.

Unfortunately we don't even buy metal that isn't 304 with a Polished or Brushed finish. We could make you the parts without trim rings and lower the price for that but we don't have the metal for that type of job.

If you could post pics or installed pics on a G8 for this grill then I'd be 1,000,000 times more likely to buy.

what about the GXP front bumper grille? The lower grille part is different then the GT, would you be able to make a grille to fit the GXP?

Yeah I saw that thread, and when I saw that they'd get free pieces, it made me wish I had a GXP. lol
