it was very simpel, i didnt use a heat gun or dental floss, just went and got a small plastic putty knife, took them right off under 5 mins, and just went over it with some goo gone..

i dont mind the PONTIAC missing, but something about not having the arrow there makes it look weird. Like, it SHOULD have something there. The PONTIAC wording no one notices, but the arrow gone looks funny. Nice job though!

mine is stock. i was thinkin bout taking off the pontiac wording, but its growin on me. and I like the GM badges on the side until I get the 6.0 badges

Thanks for the idea. I find sleepers very appealing, and the idea of taking the GXP badging off of a G8 makes me think of some fun possibilities.

Think the only ones I want to get rid of is the little square GM on the side and maybe the Pontiac name.
But the way you have it would look good with the Holden badge in the middle.

Emblems are subjective. Toyota just goes crazy with emblems a lot of the time. The passenger side "GM" emblem was installed upside down on my GT, so it had to go. Plus the Pontiac name on the back broke up the symmetry of the car, especially when there isn't an offset key hole or something on the back. So it had to go too. Otherwise I'm okay with the emblems, though I think the "G8" should have been on the left side, and "GT" on the right. I know some members have fixed that issue too, but I'm hoping most people won't have a chance to get a good look at those emblems when I'm pulling away from them. :)

I'd go for the total debadge... I still aint feelin the rear though. Everything else about the styling is great IMO.

When I bought my GP, I special ordered it, and the benefit was that the dealer didn't have time to mess it up by putting on their dealer sticker.

I cringe whenever I see a nice car on the road that still has the dealer sticker or license plate frame on it.

BTW - the Pontiac emblem would stay on mine. Although on my GP, I got a silver overlay for the red arrow part.

Better, cleaner without the arrow IMO. Personally, I'd drop the GT and arrow and go with pontiac G8. I know the GT costs extra...but IMO GT is a bit worn out and meaningless after being used for so many years by so many manufacturers.

I will say the arrow is better than that god-awful big round emblem on the back of the new Mustang GTs.

They come off pretty easily, but be careful, if you tilt one of them up, can cut into the clear coat with the edges, pretty pointed. I use hair dryer and dental floss, then goo be gone.

I took off the square GMs and a big dealer badge. Hair dryer and 20 lb test fishing line followed by goof-off (the safe on plastic kind). Took about 5 minutes including re-waxing the areas.

i took mine off the day i brought it... all of them though. there's nothing on it whatsoever.

It looks good without any pontiac badges on the back, that way people won't know that it was a pontiac that just blew past them.

When ever I get one (GTor GXP) you won't be alone. I don't plan on debadgeing either.

I just took off the "pontiac" and nothing else. In my opinion the arrowhead looks just fine as do the GT and G8.

Looks good.....I'd like to see one with the G8 in the center where the arrowhead goes and nothing else....

I Donno know, but I took the dealer stickers right away, including the free license plate holder they gave us!
I guess that's sort of a way to get back at them for making so much profit? LOL!
