Just noticed on my way home tonight that the gear shift lights were all flickering (P, R, N, D). But the "+/-" lights next to the sport shift were not flickering. I dimmed the lights on the interior fully, then turned up the brightness again and the problem went away temporarily. Anyone else having this issue?

Between this and the wipers, im considering taking it to the dealer and telling them to fix it quick.

It's being reported that the terminals are loose on some cars causing them to act funny. It might be the cause of the problem with the lighting if not then at least you're assured that they are on tight. The wipers seem to be a really big issue with these cars lately.

edit: Sorry I just saw that you viewed that thread already. My bad.

Took the car into the dealership today. They did a Multi-Point inspection in addition to looking at the shifter lights. Turns out that the shifter lights were defective and they had to order a whole new set, so its certainly not any kind of connection problem.

In addition, the also told me that my right windshield wiper was defectively attached, they took it off and replaced it with a new one.

Finally, my onstar antenna was also improperly attached, they said it was loose and improperly fastened and they had to re-run the antenna wire through the car and reset/fasten the antenna.

Wow. Lots of work for a new car. I'd ask for a free oil change :)

Glad they are getting things straight. I'm not looking forward to my first trip.
