Dennis Mooney, head of Holden is moving to Detroit to a newly created position, vice president of global vehicle systems and integration. Sounds to me like he is being groomed to be Bob Lutz's inevitable successor.
He 4 years at the top of Holden saw the redesign of the Commodore and the preparation for its import here as the G8.

He was a passenger. I am yet to see his influence. Hanenberger was the driving force behind VE + his associates of course. Mooney just had to get showered with praise and look confused when asked about fuel consumption levels :P
Perhaps there is something in the future that will bear his mark.

From th esounds of his new position, almost everything GM will have to at least pass across his desk.

Not a bad thing in my opinion. His first car was a Camaro and he's an engineer, not a bean counter. The down side is, engineers think everything works in theory. Practical skills can leave a little to be desired.
