Last nite, 5/21, I traded in my X5 for an ignition orange gt with the premium and sports packages to fc kerbeck in south jersey. They paid off my x5's remaining lease payments ($3,000) and gave me $1,000 off of msrp. All in all I road off financing $29K after paying my tax and tags out right.

Let me say the car does handle and perform similar to a bmw. I was impressed and feel that the car was a bargain for being somewhat equal from what I was used to. The hardest part is the break in period as to what everything does and is. By the way, I only counted 9 speakers, thought the premium package was supposed to have 11?

If you live near south jersey, kerbeck had 6 g8's and 4 were gt's. colors are (2)white, black, grey, and red. Had 2 orange gt's but i got the second one and the other sold a few days before me. Also mine was out front while i was doing the paperwork and a couple wanted to test drive it. Of course they didn't get the chance. It s a hot car!!

there are 11 speakers. no idea where they all are, but they are there lol

make sure u break that car in cause end of June is PONTIAC Day at Raceway Park, Englishtown NJ. Drag racing and car show, Pontiac's only. I am in central NJ so I will def be going. Been there before, TONS of fun. Bring your G8. Congrats on the car, you'll love it.

The speakers in the rear doors are two-way, an inset tweeter with each of the 6 inchers. Strange way to count it, but whatever. Nine, eleven, its a butt load of speakers either way.:wink2:

Congrats!! Waiting to get past the break in period sucks! I've just hit 1000 miles so, I feel much better.

Sales tax is a killer on car purchases in NJ now that they upped it to 7%. Especially since I won't have a trade in. I'm looking at $2300 in sales tax on the G8 GT, $320 bucks more than when it was 6%. :bs:

I hear you on the GT being similar to a BMW. We traded in our M3 for the G8!

gr8t tax and tags came to $2,700 and change. Thanks Corzine for the tax increase backto 7%. P.S. Jersey SUCKS!!

Better than the 7.75% we see here in CA.

8.25% here in LA county CA. now that really sucks :cursin:

I was lucky, I bought mine 4 days before the tax rate went up 1% to 7%.
