Finally got a string of nice day here in Pa, and the first order of biz was to detail the G8. I have had the car nearly 3 weeks now, 750 miles on the clock and it has seen more rain then I care to think about.
But, here it is.

yup looks good. not a big fan of that colour but that does glow nicely.

I spent like 4 hours correcting my paint the day after I picked it up and still have some minor paint imperfections to polish ... then will go the major Carnauba.

I used Dawn to wash. Mother's Clay w/Showtime detailer for lubricant, and Mother's Carnuba wax.

This is the first time I have been able to see what this IOM truly looks like, and I am so pleased with my choice! :wink2:

I think it's the best color on these cars! I took mine to the dealer for the ECM updates and they took it for a test drive and saw them pulling back in with it in the sun, MAN it looks great! Everyone at my wife's work loves it. I need time to polish/wax it.

cool. Dont make a habit of using Dawn though. It works for removing any waxes and residue (although not the safest choice for your paint) but DO NOT use it for regular washing.

Nope. Just wanted to use it for this time cause I wanted to get nice and clean before I clayed. Usually use Mother's car wash.
