Now HERE is the question... that style is called OTR or "over the radiator". The Holden hood (and grill) design appears to allow more direct airflow from the grill to the CAI. The pontiac design (it would appear) might not allow quite as much air flow... or am I just being pessimistic?
I'm trying to decide between "Pod" style (Roto-Fab) and OTR like this one.

I think you are being pessimistic.
I would almost bet that if you were to measure the area of the two different grilles styles, they would be nearly the same.

OK, I'm willing to go with that logic. So... which one would be the better choice OTR or POD for our CAI?

I would think that OTR would work better on the G8 because then you could utilize the open scoops for cold air induction.

Shipping and exhange rates sure aren't helping to keep costs low for US buyers of OZ parts.

I don't know, but that's what's on the website.
I'm sure shipping is a few bucks.
