Saw a PBM GT turning south off of Whyte Ave. to 116st, around 1515 this afternoon? Had black wheels (looked small, guessing winter tires...) and still had the stock antenna. Dark tint, couldn't see the driver.
Saw the IOM GT turning left off of 63ave to Gateway at about 1630 too. Gave you a wave, you waved back! I see this car ALL THE TIME on 105st outside First Presbyterian Church. Next time I'm going to leave him a card (...the url to this forum on an ALX card probably).
Anyone here? I was driving a PBM GT with my winters on. Tint all around and shorty antenna.

I am aware of the IOM. He brought it to our dealership for the out of province & federal inspections.

What a gorgeous colour, looks great with the wheels he has on right now. Where did he bring it in from (and what dealership is this?)

I can't remember for sure, but it might have come from Florida? It's one of the first 888. It also was listed on ebay for a bit & there was a link to it in a "first 888" thread on this forum. The wheels that are on it are his winter wheels & tires.
I'm at Nicholson Chev, but we can't do warranty work on the G8s

Cool! An '08? Never seen one before.
How come you can't do warranty work?

As we are only a Chevy & Corvette dealer, GM will not let us do warranty work on any vehicle model that we don't have a "sister" model to. That list includes Solstice, G8, Lacrosse, Lucerne, Hummer & Cadillac. Non Chevrolet dealers can not work on HHR, Camaro, Optra, Epica.

Bizarre. What do you do at the dealership?

Service consultant.

The odd thing is, the "sister" policy or "cross line warranty" policy as it's officially known as with GM, does not seem to apply in the U.S.A. I don't get it.

What a pain! I don't live too far from there, when you get the car out let me know!

It becomes really awkward when you forget to ask a new customer what they're driving before telling them to come on in for some warranty work! Or when there is a new consultant in training that forgets we can't work on certain product!

when you get the car out let me know!

You got it. Hopefully at the very latest it will be on the road not this Friday but the one after for a trip to Calgary.

Excellent. Ran into a fellow with an '08 MGM GT leaving Original Joe's this evening. I spotted his Atari Gauges and had to talk to him :p
