Hey everyone,
It's been a few months of searching for a performance sedan. I hadn't had a fast car in a while (1 SUV, 1 truck) so I was getting restless! First I was looking at the SRT8's, then I realized too big, eats too much gas. Then I was on the hunt for a used CTS-V, and I saw the new G8 and realized I could have that for the same price! So finally after all this time I did it!
Amazingly there was a fully loaded black GT at a dealer 20 minutes from me just sitting there while all the dealers near me were sold out!! Well, I picked her up today and I definitely know I made the right choice!!! :D

Yeah, congrats. This weekend we went camping and it killed me that I couldn't take the G8, we had to take the minivan. I love to drive the thing every chance I get.

Just picked mine up yesterday as well. Grey with the premium package and the sunroof. Love it to death, so comfortable and fun to drive. Just put my Valentine 1 in it this morning in the hope of dodging impending speeding tickets.

I have been waiting and waiting on my local dealer for 2 months - now they tell me that the last shipment of 08gt's with sunroofs were pulled back due to frame issues and have to wait for 09's to be released... Anyone smelling this??? Starting to see cars on the net equipped the way I want - getting a little frustrated..

I had my eyes on a Charger SRT8 and a CTS V(2006-07 model) as well and I have the exact same opinion about them as you. The positve things about the CTS V is that it has 400hp and a manual. Negatives(for me) is the 6 lug design making it difficult to find aftermarket wheels and I wasn't feeling the dash layout too much. I got really close to getting a SRT8 until I read about the G8. The G8 seems to fit everything I have been looking for in a performance sedan. Enjoy the new ride. :)

I traded in a Magnum RT for my GT, and while I loved the Magnum for alot of reasons, the GT is hands down the better car to drive, especially the motor and the steering. It's a little hard to haul the Home Depot stuff though. :)
