I was thinking of installing jl audio speakers. Do they make a speaker that fits the front door with the tweeter already built in? If so, would this same speaker fit the rear doors? Has anyone found out how difficult it is to replace the tweeters in the dash? If not, I am going to the dealer for some service work tomorrow and I will see if they know.

if your looking for great bass with ok sound quality, go with JL, however if your looking for good bass and great sound quality, go with ECLIPSE. they are far and beyond the better sound quality speaker/tweeter combo.

its hard to say one speaker is definitely better than another one, especially just going by brand names. (eg, a top of the line Sony could be better than some high-end brands entry level)
replacing the tweeter should be reasonably simple, but removing the parts without breaking clips can be difficult. (start with the side trim of the dash, then the vent that feeds into the front doors, and then the cover around the A-pillar should lift up reasonably easy)
if you check out www.walkinshawperformance.com.au, under "models" select a car, then the WP Audio Upgrade.
they use JBL stuff, so i guess they've found something that fits without too much modification

After hours of research on the net I am very confused as to which way to go. Is there any sites out there that rate the different mfrs? I am looking to get the biggest bang for the buck and I am not sure now if jl is the way to go. I need HELP?????:drink:
