: I hope I can post a "HELP ME" here...
SmokeyBear911 04-09-2010, 09:28 PM 5 hours on the car :(
How do I fix?
It's a LITTLE better after:
Adam's Swirl & Haze Remover and Adam's Revive Fine Hand Polish...
Do I just keep going with the Swirl & Haze Remover and finish up with the Buttery Wax?

And here's the damage :(
That's washed and dried with Adams wash...

Drive.Sleep.Repeat 04-09-2010, 09:56 PM Ouch. That's painful to look at. Maybe take it to a pro. You might need something with a little more cutting power than a hand polish can provide.
When it's corrected, get some sealant on there. I use UPGP. I do the entire car about every three months and after each was for the upward facing surfaces that are more prone to catching messes like that.
I park under trees at home. In the first couple weeks of owning my car, before getting the sealant on, a juicy deposit etched a small spot on the spoiler. With the sealant, nothing gets through.
ShineG8GT 04-09-2010, 11:07 PM Try some "Goo Gone" first, the over that, use some "Meguiars Scratch X2.0" then to finish it off, some "Race Glaze" polish, should do a pretty good job from my experience.
DO NOT USE A ELECTRIC BUFFER!

JoeBeagle 04-10-2010, 10:42 AM Clay Bar maybe!!!!!
SmokeyBear911 04-10-2010, 12:57 PM Clay Bar maybe!!!!!
Clay will do me no good for this type of problem. Clay is fantastic for what it's for, which is removing foreign particles that have become stuck to your paint. It will not remove scratches, stains, or hard water spots.
whiterp199 04-11-2010, 06:09 PM That is probably going to take machine polishing to get out. Check out the adams PC kit. You need to get some kind of protection on there.
radkon 04-12-2010, 07:29 AM I've had good luck with Meguiars paint cleaner.

A good shotgun might help!!!!
mongosG8 04-13-2010, 01:10 AM Smokey,
Just had the same problem on my wife's Accord on her fender.
I used my Adams Swirl & Haze remover with my Porter & Cable. I than when to the machine Polish and after that I followed up with a nice coat of revive polish and buttery wax. It actually worked so well I had to do her whole hood not just her fender.
Schwartz 04-13-2010, 01:17 AM That's nasty. Not sure on that one, have to see it in front of me.But when you do figure out how to get rid of it,afterwards apply paint sealant to your whole car.Paint sealant protects the paint from bird crap and the sun.Works like scotch guard on fabric, will wash off easily.I apply it to mine once a year.
Dylan@Adams 04-14-2010, 01:30 PM HOLY HELL!! Do you have condors circling over your car or did a sparrow pass that beast and die? That is one massive duke!!!
Pretty much as mentioned, you can try hand polishing it, but likely that won't be enough for something that badly etched... you need machine polishing power to knock that out.

Thanks Dylan...
Maybe next Adams demo day you can use it as a demo... If I don't' get it out first... Any plans on more SoCal demos?
Dylan@Adams 04-15-2010, 10:21 PM Theres a big event next month at Stillen again... not a clinic, its actually Stillens HUGE annual open house event where all their vendors come out so we'll be there just not in the usual DETAIL CLINIC type way.

Cool, may have to drive down if I'm off duty...
Kinda far hike but would be cool...
majesticix 04-17-2010, 07:58 AM I had similar problem...though no white stain, just scratched my clear coat. Get a PC with Swirl & Haze and your back in the game. Mine looks good as new.

Don't hesitate to buy a Porter Cable dual action buffer. It's pretty much impossible to damage the paint with one. It'll last you forever and the results are amazing. After you've got the buffer, you'll get the hang of it. Tons of products out there that work well with it too.

I'll post pics after my next washing.
