: Klearz - Low Quality Junk
Enginerd 04-10-2010, 03:32 PM Just an FYI - I ordered Klearz for my GXP...they showed up and needless to say I'm underwhelmed by their quality. Glue everywhere.
And the push tabs that are supposed to anchor the lens assembly are BARELY hanging on...in fact I had to epoxy one back on after it snapped.
Bottom line - Klearz are low quality cheap garbage
If you're willing to spend a bit of time in making these acceptable, then they will work...BUT for the amount of money these cost - CRAP.
My $0.02 FWIW
mdogg 04-10-2010, 05:47 PM fwiw, my smoked/black Klearz were very nice.... might want to take it up with the company before bashing them?
SmokeyBear911 04-10-2010, 06:28 PM not the first time I heard of this...

Glad to hear yours were decent.
But they chose to send me this garbage, they created the situation by cutting corners. If they didn't want opinions out there like this then they should improve their quality. Not really my problem.
Project Whiplash 04-10-2010, 08:47 PM Ive got a set from the first casting, The fit an Quality was great. Ive had mine over a year now with no problems. Jason at Klearz is a good guy i would email him an tell him even take a pic to show him. An hopefully he will give you another set..

yours will probably be fine so I wouldn't worry about it. And if not then I think the company will resolve the issue, you know, if you actually contact them about it instead of ranting on the internet....
mikemaj82 04-11-2010, 02:22 PM Mine were fine, but I think there are other ones that match the headlights better.
VENOM 04-11-2010, 03:59 PM i didnt want clear or pay for smoke colored ones so I just bought the overlays from Graphxwerks and they look perfect.
GTO MAN 311 04-11-2010, 09:54 PM had klearz on my gto and have them on the g8...both sets are great. I wouldn't hesitate to recomend them to anyone....buy w/ confidence...
socalG8 04-11-2010, 10:05 PM I bought a set a few months ago. The drivers side fit perfect but the passenger side did not seat well so I took a photo and emailed them. Had a new one sent to me within about a week. The new one fits perfectly and they had great customer service. Sorry you were not happy with your set.

mongosG8 04-12-2010, 04:35 AM My first set of Klearz were great. No problems with quality I just thought they were a little expensive IMO.
Since one of them broke I decided not to spend 100 bucks again so I ordered the crystal clear ones off of eBay and I have to say they were just as good for 40 bucks cheaper.
People have told me they like them better than the Klearz ..they say they match the headlights a lot more.
PMD G8 04-12-2010, 07:35 AM Had a set on my GTO and didn't have any complaints with them. Not factory perfect but not bad for the price.
SANman1911 04-12-2010, 01:14 PM I have a set on my GTO and plann on getting a set for the G8. If you have an issue contact the vendor first. IF they give you crap then bash them, not before.

Yeah you could call it ranting, or you could call it sharing information w/the G8 community...some people would like to know what they're getting for their hard earned money...ungrateful prick.
Besides, like I said, once I epoxied them they worked fine...just saying that for the $ they should be decent up front, not require re-work.
MDGeeTee 04-12-2010, 07:54 PM I bought a set of the clear markers off eBay and the passenger side is getting water inside it. The company emailed me back and told me to dry out and re-seal the housing (gee, thanks guys), or I could send the markers back for a refund. I'm not too confident that another set would be watertight, so I'll guess I'll pull it out and fix it.
HVNS G8 04-13-2010, 02:24 AM +1 OP -1 Clearz
My take on my Clearz side markers.(A Christmas gift from my brother-in-law)
1-Flimsy injection molded backing ,bulb housing and clip.I didn't trust that this clip would hold so I laid a small bead of glue.
2-Less than acceptable final fit. Both of them were loose and rattled in my fender.
3-Yellowish hue up one side of my passenger side marker.I assume that this is some sort of residual glue or adhesive.I was never able to completely remove or hide this discoloration.
I have since removed these and went with a different manufacturer. The new clear markers are only marginally better.
