Hey guys, I dont know if this has already been brung up but has anyone installed an h pipe and cut the mufflers off and replaced with straight pipes. Im looking for a pretty loud setup but not really sure what to go with. Also what high flow cats are recommended?

haven't heard of this yet, but if you get it done, i'd love to hear a clip of it.

I would probably take the resonators out but keep the mufflers.

I was thinking about deleting the res and replacing with an H or X pipe and then installing a set of flowtec red hots aka glass packs where the stock mufflers were.

It would flow wonderfully, but likely be ungodly loud. Not sure how good it'll sound when DOD kicks in though... Give it a try, curious minds would love to see (hear) the results.

Those were his words not mine, however I would agree with him. I found a couple clips on YouTube which is what I believe is the difference. It seems as though there was a thread about the difference somewhere.

I have the SF Magnaflow Axle back and the H pipe installed.. It's gurguley and sounds GREAT! A glass pack would be DRONE HELL IMHO.. but.. to each his own.. The set up I have is plenty loud, thank God!
Now it sounds like a V8.. I have to say the DOD is annoying as all hell though..
I try to keep my foot on the gas.. LOL

I had a single glass pack on my old 1969 Volvo 242 4-cylinder and it sounded like a farm implement.
