Picked up a GXP with 4500 miles on friday. Its a white A6 onyx/red no roof. Had a smile on my face most of the 1700 miles home. The exception being a blue cavalier deciding that two cars could fit in one lane on the 494 in Minneapolis. Averaged 21mpg. This thing is awesome!
Anybody know where to get a cheap recall letter?

Hey congrats man:

They sure are fun to drive. Where did you pick it up from? Go see your local dealer for the recall clearance letter.

Congrats on getting a great, and rare, GXP combo! Would you be willing to drop me a PM with the last 6 of the VIN so I can add you to the International Registry? Clad to hear you Canadians are bringing a few north of the border. Some of my Canadian friends were extremely jealous last year when they weren't getting any GXPs, and they loved mine! Enjoy it & Congrats!

Picked it up in Florida.

Got the RIV inspection today, passed with no modification required:). Just need to get a provincial inspection done and i'll be done with the importing process.
I've put over 2000 miles on it and my only complaint is the brake dust up front. The fact that MB wants front plates sucks to

Really! You didn't have to get the daytime running lights reprogrammed so you can't shut them off?

And as for the brake dust. Most guys are going to the hawk ceramic pads. Go to the brake thread and you can get the part #.

I can still turn turn the drl's off. Will be taking it out on a road course in two weeks, I'll look into replacing the pads after that.
