so i just installed flowmaters on my G8 GT im really impressed on what $200.00 got me i dont really know what i gained bc i dont have any way to dyno my car, but i can tell u it did make some what of a diff, i onlt change the back 2 mufflers, there is still a resnator im thinking about takeing off but i dont want my car to sound to ghetto so im still thinking about it... here goes some pics..

kind of hard to hear the second one. I mean you can hear it, but sounds distorted. Prob should move the camera back a few feet and try it again.

$200.00 included just the mufflers, I assume? How much of a difference is the sound while you're inside driving the car?

I've always liked Flowmaster and have been looking into them myself. Any more details you can share would be appreciated.

yea $200.00 with mufflers installed, while inside the car it sounds great, if your going at a study speed u can hear it rumbel but its not annoying at all, i would recommend this mod to any1 with a g8 that wants to get some nice sound, i really wish i can share with your guys what i gaied with performance but i have no way of finding out sorry...

Very cool - this is exactly what I'm looking for. I want some more rumble, but nothing over the top loud because my G8 is my daily driver. I just want it to sound like it has 361 HP whether I'm cruising or gunning it. Right now with it stock it only sounds as powerful as it is when you hit 3k RPM or so.

I did basically the same set up about 2 months ago...and have put over 4500 miles on the car, its quiet enough while cruising....no bad drone....and sounds great when you step on the loud pedal.. I went with the super 44s or whatever there called...mine was $180 installed cash deal .San Jose hook up ;)

super 40's are what I'm puttin on ours.

On my 5.0 Mustang I had H-Pipe to regular 40 Series Flowmasters. I've read peoples reviews on the super 40 and 44's. Not sure what the biggest difference is between them but I like a good old fashion rumble. So, I think I'm going to get an H-pipe installed in the mid and then have two normal 40 series flows in the back. I do remember reading that h-pipes give a lower rumble than x-pipes but loose a tad bit of performance.

Sounds good, and in looking, the Flowmasters price is super cheap compared to the Magnaflows, etc. Interesting...
