I just picked up my car from Vector Motorsports yesterday with the new 222/230 .597/.600 114+4 LSA EPS cam put in it (vs. the 228/236 .588/.578 112+4 LSA cam that was in there before).

Awesome Update:

10 out of 10! The car with the new 222/230 cam drives awesome! No bucking, surging, stalling, or crazy weird torque converter qwerks. The RPM bounce is gone.

I had a bad O2 sensor, Kirk fixed that.

Thank you very much to Kirk, Steve, Greg, and the other fine people at Vector Motorsports.

I got a chance to meet Mike aka Fast G8 MI. A very cool guy. OMG his car is louder than Paul's (G8GT594's) if that is possible.
Mike's car = DT Headers & no mufflers.
Him & I went from a roll. He's got a ~223/234 with a high lift cam (Vector's new grind), he also has a stock stall, and I could not pull his car. That cam that Kirk has come up with, definitely does it's thing. I didn't get a chance to race Mike from a dig, but I'd like to think I can take him off the line.... ;)

My car breaks the tires loose from a dig, a slow roll, 1-2 shift, 2-3 shift, it feels really good, quick, & fast......

Now to the dragstrip this Saturday..... I know I said Lapeer, I'm still leaning that way. Possibly Stanton or Ubly........ definitely a strip...... I really need a new PB......

Its amazing how a cam opens up the powe that much, are stock cam on the l76 must be crap with that damn afm. Maybe after my warranty it will be a cam, but prolly go with the blower. :)

Sweet! I'm heading that route as well. How much dif will the VMS stall torque converter be in addition to a VMS cam and tune?

You would be better off calling Kirk for pricing @VMS 586.790.2970. They dont get on the computer as much as we do.

Sorry. I meant performance wise. If all I have is a CAI, tune, and HSRK will a torque converter be that beneficial? Next up will be headers and cam. Which order is recommended?

Personally i'd say headers HF cats then converter then cam swap. We have a cam available that will make 415-420 without a converter and will drive very well. If you put a converter in the car I can get you into the 440+ range.

Hmm. I think you may have just convinced me on that setup. :judge:

Now about the Hi flow cats. Idk if Hawaii has laws regulating smog and all that nonsense but how much money and HP will I be sacrificing? I have to look into this since I'm active duty Army and who knows where I'll be stationed next. Hopefully not California ;)

That converter will make a big difference in your power delivery. If you can get the traction you will get a great jump off the line. and with the cam be making good power to surprise alot of people when you jump out a car or 2 and they cant catch up!

I want the Yank3200 bad, but now with this turbo kit im gonna def have some traction issues so I might have to put it on hold until I can figure the traction thing out.

Btw, what cam would that be to get 440+, is that just cam or with other mods, and how much cash? lol :burnout:

I'm guessing that is going to be with headwork as well.
