I know the only difference between them is the cylinder deactivation. Anything else??

Yeah pretty much.

L76 has 361 hp and 385 ft-lbs
L98 has 362 hp and 391 ft-lbs

With the cylinder deactivation you can see the L76 is the better deal, at least in my opinion..

Also one is SAE rated output, other is not from what I understand.

Me, I would prefer the L98
